What is a use case?
A use case is an example of an interaction between a user and a system that generates value. This helps to capture what is needed to figure out what a system needs, or can do. These more granular use cases will be grouped together to create higher-level categories.
Example Use Case
Title/Project: Prevent AIDS Now
Background: Prevent AIDS Now is a website that has bloggers from all around the world posting about AIDS prevention education.
Use Case: A translator who is assigned to translate a specific entry, and is logged into the website finds that entry, and enters into a translation interface, allowing them to translate the blog entry. The user clicks "submit" and the entry is placed in the queue for approval.
Outcome: Blog entry is translated, and entered into the workflow.
