Ideas that I didn't want to work into the main table yet...

  • Workflow management - this affects everyone and more prevalent in larger teams or teams doing dtrategic cross cutting localisation
  • Localisation focus - you don't need to translate the full UI only some so which parts?
  • We need to manage previous translations and share translations
  • Need to manage terminology and allow terminology sharing

Questions

  • TMX is a widely used format for translation memory software, translating to/from format x to/from TMX would be useful. For example po2tmx from translate project.
  • TBX is a standard for terminology exchange (http://www.lisa.org/standards/tbx) in XML format, allowing exchange of terminology databases. We need a tool for terminology management which uses such existing standards.
